What the app collects
Nothing that identifies you. Basis has no account, no login, and no analytics or advertising code.
The app stores only the appliance host and port you set, on the device, so a provider does not retype them before a session.

Basis is an on-prem AI scribe. The app captures the visit on the practice network and leaves the chart with the clinician. The clinical app collects no personal data and does not send visit audio or draft notes to a vendor. The website separately collects the contact details you choose to submit through its forms.

Website forms
When you request a demo or a free download, the website collects the details you submit, such as your name, work email, practice name, and practice website.
Free-download requests are stored in Attio as linked person and company records. Basis uses these details to provide the requested download and follow up about the product.
Do not submit patient information or other protected health information through a website form.

Microphone
Basis records audio only after a provider taps start, and stops when the provider taps stop.
The audio streams to the Basis appliance on the practice network. It is not stored in the app, and it is not sent to a vendor.

Local network
Basis uses the local network to reach the Basis appliance at the address you set. It does not browse for other devices or services.

Where the visit goes
Transcription and the draft note run on the appliance the practice controls. The visit data does not travel to a cloud or a third party.
The clinician reviews and signs off before anything enters the patient record.

What the app does not do
The Basis clinical app does not sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train models. Website form details are shared only with service providers needed to store and respond to the request, including Attio.

The practice's role
The practice runs the appliance and is responsible for protected health information under its own agreements. Basis keeps administrative chart work on practice hardware.
The practice sets the appliance address and the export paths that move an approved note into the EHR.

Your choices
Turn off microphone or local network access for Basis in iOS Settings at any time. Without them, the app cannot capture a visit or reach the appliance.

Children
Basis is a tool for clinicians. It is not directed to children.
